Jubilee Cycle has been a South Burnaby landmark since 1946 out-fitting many generations of families with bikes throughout Burnaby and Metro Vancouver over the years. Purchased in 1974 by the Davies family. Driven by passion for the sport and a rich and memorable history in cycling – they have all been very successful on their bikes. Father Jim, an avid road and track cyclist, competed for Canada at the 1954 British Empire Games in Vancouver and the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne, Australia. Neil followed his father’s path and carved out a name for himself on the road and track winning both titles of B.C. Junior Road Champion and Canadian Cycling Champion on the track.
Today, the store is run by a team of three. Neil Davies – who started his career in the store when he was eleven and is co-owner with his father Jim. Gabriel Ferron – store manager and long time family friend, cycling enthusiast and key player since 1999. Sullivan Reed – head mechanic and customer service, passionate mountain biker and elite racer.
